The War on You

Whether you are aware of it or not, a war has been declared. The war being referred to is not a war between nation states and it certainly is not a war against terror. No, the war that has been declared is a war of terror and it has been declared on you.

National Defense Authorization Act

Well that sounds nice, doesn’t it? It is an act. We like action. Action speaks louder than words, after all. It authorizes defense. Defense is good. Defense should be authorized. The Nation? We love our nation. The stars and stripes stand for liberty and freedom do they not?

Yes, the title sounds great. It sounds wonderful. It is a glaring example of how misleading marketing labels can be. The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) is a spending law. Its primary purpose is to allocate funding. However, it contains provisions which make it a lot more than just budgetary legislation.

So, what else is there to know about this bill? “How does it affect me,” you might be asking? Oh, it is not such a big deal. It's only a bill, signed into law, which makes you, as a human being covered by the Act, the number one enemy of state. It's just an attempt to strip you of all rights as a sovereign human being. It's nothing more, or less, than complete and utter treason committed by our elected officials.

How can such a bold statement be made? This is a certainly a grave remark. We will start with the indefinite detention provision and go from there.

Indefinite Detention Provisions 1021 & 1022

There is some confusion floating around out on the web that the indefinite detention provision does not apply to American citizens. Frankly, it would still be an unconstitutional travesty even if it did not. However, though the bill originally included an exemption for American citizens, this was removed after the White House threatened to veto the bill.

Indefinite detention means that anyone, including you, can be held without trial under suspect of terrorism. “So, I’m not a terrorist so I have nothing to worry about.” Are you not a terrorist? Who says you are not a terrorist? How are you going to prove you are not a terrorist without right to a trial? Well, that’s nothing, right? You can trust the President, no matter who that happens to be at any given time, so there is nothing to worry about. One might want to think this through a bit farther.

The fact is that anyone can be considered a terrorist suspect at any time and for any reason. “Why would the government pick on me?” That is a good question. A better question might be, “why does history read like a mass-murder/mass-torture horror story of epic proportions?” An even better question might be, “if we have a Democracy, we will be okay, right? Democracies never become tyrannical. Socrates wasn’t tried and put to death by a Democracy just for asking questions or anything.”

Probably the most mind-blowing example of cognitive dissonance is that here, in the United States, we believe we are somehow an exception to the laws of sociology. Corruption and abuse of power is only something that happens elsewhere, we think. We think that we have legitimately elected officials even though, at the same time, we know that the major corporations pick our candidates for us and bribe them to further their own ends. It is common knowledge that our politicians are corrupt yet we still think we are an exception to the general rule that government will abuse its power.

Is that okay with you? It is, right? It is okay if the government just murders you for asking questions. There is nothing wrong with that. Governments never do anything illegal, immoral, or dangerous, right? Let’s try to overcome the Orwellian double-think and ponder this for a moment.

You Might be a Terrorist if…

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has outlines a number of situations and activities that, they believe, could make you a terror suspect. In the spirit of Jeff Foxworthy, we are going to play a little game. The game is called, “You Might be a Terrorist.” We are going to use Let us have a go at it, shall we?

According to the DHS, with no judge nor jury…

If you use Google maps to find your way around a strange city… you might be a terrorist.

If you view photos of stadiums or other buildings where large numbers of people congregate… you might be a terrorist.

If you attempt to hide what you are looking at on your computer or install privacy software… you might be a terrorist.

If you change your facial hair, hair style, or alter your mode of dress… you might be a terrorist.

If you use a cell-phone in a public place… you might be a terrorist.

If you are missing fingers, smell strange, or have stains on your clothing… you might be a terrorist.

If you rent a boat for an “extended” period of time… you might be a terrorist.

If you are impatient or nervous… terrorist.

Take photos of the Statue of Liberty, et cetera? Terrorist.

Ask questions in a store about remote controlled airplanes/helicopters? Terrorist.

Want a specific room in a hotel? Terrorist.

In a hotel, if you avoid the lobby, refuse cleaning service, stay in your room or leave for several days? Guess what? You might be a terrorist!

All you ever do is play online video games? If you communicate through them, you might be a terrorist.

Do you carry a backpack sometimes? You’re a terrorist.

Mumble to yourself? Terrorist.

It just goes on and on and on. This is all extracted from FBI, TSA, and other DHS training programs and literature. Some are even mentioned in the Patriot Act, which, by the way, is still in effect. These are just a few. There are more…

Are you ever critical of US policies? You might be a terrorist.

Do missionary or charitable work? Terrorist.

Like to pay in cash? Terrorist.

Care about the Bill of Rights? Terrorist.

Know what the Bill of Rights is? Terrorist.

Think preparing for disaster is a good idea. Oh, well you are a terrorist for sure then!

Like PhD David Suzuki and many others, you are concerned about Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs)? You might be a terrorist!

A representative from the Military and Police Active and Veterans group, Oath Keepers, reportedly said that, “the answer to the government's silly lists is to make the lists so damn long they end up including every able bodied American (who is supposed to be the militia anyway), and thus the damnable lists become useless.”

Before we move on, we are going to mention one more. There are hundreds, maybe thousands, but let’s look at one more, okay? Here goes…

You know how, sometimes, you need to get to the other side of the street? You try to follow the law and do the right thing but the cross-walk at the intersection is pretty far away. There is no traffic so you figure it is safe to cross anyway. You know jaywalking is illegal but you won’t be impeding traffic. You won’t be endangering yourself or others so you decide, “what the hey? I might as well cross right here.” Well… guess what? You might be a terrorist. The infamous Patriot Act, extended indefinitely, argues that this sort of thinking could make you a terrorist suspect. No big deal, though, right? It is the government that has control of that and the government cares about you. The government would never falsely accuse you. There are no sadistic tyrants in a Democracy or Republic, right? That never happens.

Except it does; on a regular basis. Anyone who studies history knows this. It’s common knowledge.

Executive Privilege to Murder You

Before we wrap up this section on what the NDAA means, or should mean, to you personally, we are going to talk about another provision. We are going to discuss how it attempts to legalize murdering you by executive whim. This means you can be killed by order without a warrant or a judge, let alone an attorney. Someone in the DHS (which includes just about every government agency and private contractor) or the white house decides you might be a terrorist, they can, supposedly, just end your life without any due process at all.

Sadly, far from being some broad interpretation of law, this may have already happened. Reportedly, the White House intentionally leaked the assassination of Anwar al-Awlaki and, in a separate instance, his sixteen year old son who was not even officially a terror suspect. Because this information was leaked from the White House and they have hosted al-Awlaki it is possible this didn’t even happen but was used to create the precedent to get us used to the idea of American citizens being murdered by executive order as if it were somehow “normal.” Some interesting information about the incidents include the knowledge that these assassinations where carried out by drone.

Several other people who happened to be in the vicinity were also killed who may or may not have known anything about al-Awlaki’s alleged terror activities. As for why his son was killed, the President of the United States was questioned about it. He responded saying that the boy, “should have had a more responsible father.” So, if the executive branch of the Federal government things your father is irresponsible you can be murdered legally. Sounds legit.

The war on you is non-partisan. This must be understood. Some may argue that we would have been better off with Mitt Romney in the White House. There are two, possibly more, serious problems with this argument. For starters, one thing they both adamantly agreed with was on the standing presidents use of predator drones. For another, they both had many of the same campaign contributors so they serve most of the same special interests.

As a side note, it might be mentioned that the supposed “Obama Care” law was based on a similar law which, as a matter of public record, Romney helped author and make into law for the state of Massachusetts. When scrutinized, both candidates where essentially the same on the most important issues. We were given a choice: vote for Goldman Sachs or Goldman Sachs. This is not a typo. Goldman Sachs was a major campaign contributor to both.

Precisely what Congress did by passing legislation like the Patriot Act and the NDAA was hand an incredible amount of power to the executive branch of government it’s not supposed to have. What’s more, Congress isn’t supposed to have that sort of power either. The Bill of Rights strictly forbids Congress from passing laws which infringe on one’s right to life and liberty without due process. This cannot be legally changed without going through the constitutionally outlined amendment process which did not happen.

So which political party is responsible? The “yeas” and “nays” of who voted about which bill are a matter of public record. Both Republicans and Democrats are responsible. So the Rebublicrats and Demopublicans are responsible. They are different in superficial ways only.

Go ahead and to a quick search for which of your House Representatives and Senators voted “yea” on the illegal, unconstitutional, and treasonous NDAA. Chances are: your congressman is a traitor. Vote them out. Better yet: vote them out and have your DA arrest them and put them on trial. Your DA is an elected official. If he/she doesn’t want to do their job, you can fire them.

Trans Pacific Partnership

Remember ACTA and SOPA? They didn’t go over very well because of the degree of censorship and corporate control over the internet they represented. If you are a fan of fascist oppression and tyranny, don’t worry: the corporate-owned governments of the planet are still interested in making you a slave even in cyberspace. The TPP gives broad corporate control over your internet activities and much more.

In case it isn’t abundantly clear, let it be known: the major corporations aren’t “American” or “Chinese” or anything of the sort. They are multi-national/trans-national/international behemoths with a larger GDP than most nation-states and they have no loyalty to any country or region. It gets even weirder, upon further investigation, but at least understand this much.

Fascism at its Finest

“It’s not the government; it’s the corporations!” You might be thinking. Well, that’s the funny thing about fascism: the governments and the corporation are the same thing. We are only given a choice of two candidates by the corporate owned media. The so-called “main-stream” media is owned by no more than six major corporations whose controlling share of stock is owned by other larger corporations and wealthy individuals. When we find out that the candidates are accepting contributions from major corporations, can we really be surprised that the corporate owned media claims there are no viable alternatives?

You see: it is an economic and financial war that is being waged against you. The major corporations want more and more power. Regulations sounds great but when the major corporations are the ones writing the regulations you have to conclude that it is small businesses, and ultimately you, that gets screwed, if you’ll pardon the vernacular. There is no better example than the Trans Pacific Partnership or TPP.

By the Corporations for the Corporations

First thing to know about the TPP is that it has been negotiated, in secret, between major corporations. The US Congress doesn’t have access to the draft text, and neither do you, yet there is a move to have it “fast-tracked” through Congress. If that sounds outrageous, that’s probably because it is.

Frankly, it’s amazing we know anything about this proposed legislation at all. Fortunately some basic facts have been disclosed. The TPP currently has twenty-nine draft chapters but only five exclusively deal with trade issues. Some concerns are listed below.

Like Safe Food? Too bad

The TPP will change the rules so that Corporations don’t have to answer to national courts. The would operate under World Bank rules and would be empowered to file suit to take your tax dollars in compensation for your countries regulatory practices if they can substantiate that such rules could negatively impact their projected profits. In other words, if they think your countries regulations might hurt their business in the future they take your money. That’s fair, right? Sure it is.

You might be thinking that the FDA sucks anyways so it is a non-issue. However, if you think that you have a right to know what’s in your food regardless, you are not going to be very happy. Laws which require mandatory labeling are regulations. You don’t mind if corporations can win suit against you for wanting to know what’s in your food, do you? Of course you don’t.

No Jobs for US

The TPP would make it even easier for corporations to move jobs overseas. Sometimes laws are past to require that your tax dollar goes toward US and local companies first. The TPP would get rid of these. You didn’t need those anyway, did you? It’s okay if unemployment is so rampant that there are riots in the streets, right? Sounds like lots of fun actually, doesn’t it?

Wall Street <3 TPP

Does anything really need to be said about this? Of course the TPP threatens Wall Street reforms. Of course the TPP makes it easier for banks and other major corporations to loot your country and yourself of wealth and resources. Would you expect otherwise?

Much Much More

Above are just a few of the wonderful benefits of the TPP. There are many more provisions, some which can restrict your access to affordable utilities, medications, and public services. The TPP also could impact worker’s rights, environmental concerns, public health, and, as mentioned earlier, internet freedom.

How would it feel if a multinational corporation shut down your website claiming copy-write infringement? “That wouldn’t happen,” you say? “I don’t infringe on copy-writes, trademarks, or patents,” you are thinking? Well that’s okay. They don’t have to prove to a jury of your peers or even get a warrant from a US judge to take down your website.

So the corporations can, in theory, circumvent your countries laws and constitutionally protected rights to destroy your life. Isn’t that great? Maybe you can go work for one of these bullying monopolistic fascist control-freak corporations until they replace you with a robot. Won’t that be just swell?

Just the Leaves not the Root

If the socioeconomic system is a tree, a horrid dark toxic tree, the TPP, and other legislation like it are the mildewed, infested, sickly leaves. We can and absolutely should stop its passing like we did with SOPA, ACTA and failed to to with NAFTA. However, new, even more diseased leaves will shoot forth. The thing to do here is to get to the root or at least the truck of the tree. This is a poisonous tree which bears deadly fruit. It has to be dealt with. This year, 2014, there is no Presidential election to distract us but much of Congress is up for re-election. Here’s an idea: how about we fire them? It’s a thought. It can be an action but that’s up to you. At least think about it.

The King Has Spoken

Under fascism, which is what we are under whether we want to admit it or not, corporate powers don’t even need to go through a large legislative body like Congress to get what they want. They can use a shameless executive power willing to act far outside its legal authority. Ever heard of Executive Orders? Of course you have. They are like candy, unicorns, and rainbows shooting out of the Presidents butt, right? Actually, more and more, they have become like laws; laws passed by the White House without any oversight by Congress. The president gets a check or threat from the banking cartel and POOOFFF: new law.

From a Constitutional stand-point, these things are mostly illegitimate. Some of them could be considered within the power of the executive branch but our favorite ones are the ones that apply during war or “states of emergency.” These are the best ones for sure.

You Own Nothing

You know all that great stuff that you have worked hard your whole life for? You know what we’re talking about: that land, that car, you other possessions. Those don’t belong to you. If they did they couldn’t be arbitrarily, yet “legally,” taken away from you. According to the White House, and the banking cartel, anything you have can be taken from you.

If you store fuel for your farm equipment the DHS can, according to executive order, take it from you and give it to any corporation they see fit. If you store water in case of an emergency or own water rights the DHS can take it and give it to a corporation. Do you own land? No you don’t. Not only do governments charge you rent in the form of property taxes, they can legally, or so they have stated, take your land and give it to a corporation.

This is all just conspiracy theory right? It’s not like there are actually executive orders, like EO 13063, listed on that say explicitly that these things can happen. It’s not like the President of the United States of Fascist International Corporations (USFIC formerly known as the USA) can just “declare” a state of emergency and take all your stuff in the name of “national security.” They don’t think they can do that? Are you sure? You might want to check.

Now, understand that USFIC is just a made-up term. The USA has not officially, to our knowledge, been changed to USFIC. However, that is probably what it should be called because, as difficult as it is to admit, it is an apt term. Fascism is exactly what we are dealing with but don’t do your own research. Don’t look for facts: just believe anything and everything the corporate-owned media tells you. The major mega-corporations that own the media love you. They wouldn’t lie to you. I have a deed to a bridge I’d like to sell you, by the way.

List of Loving Royal Decrees

The following list has been compiled from Truthfully, it could have been received from a number of websites and articles that list the same information. Some articles even provide links directly to the exact orders on It just so happens that, at the time this article was originally composed, was the first link found with a simple search that had a concise list.

Don’t read this list, though. Don’t research it or vet it for accuracy. You might find out something unpleasant you didn’t want to know. Stick your head in the sand and hope that it’s all a bad dream:

  • Executive Order 10990 allows the Government to take over all modes of transportation and control of highways and seaports.
  • Executive Order 10995 allows the government to seize and control the communication media.
  • Executive Order 10997 allows the government to take over all electrical power, gas, petroleum, fuels, and minerals.
  • Executive Order 11000 allows the government to mobilize civilians into work brigades under government supervision.
  • Executive Order 11001 allows the government to take over all health education and welfare functions.
  • Executive Order 11002 designates the Postmaster General to operate a national registration of all persons.
  • Executive Order 11003 allows the government to take over all airports and aircraft, including commercial aircraft.
  • Executive Order 11004 allows the Housing and Finance Authority to relocate and establish new locations for populations.
  • Executive Order 11005 allows the government to take over railroads, inland waterways, and public storage facilities.
  • Executive Order 11049 assigns emergency preparedness function to federal departments and agencies, consolidating 21 operative Executive Orders issues over a fifteen-year period.
  • Executive Order 11051 specifies the responsibility of the Office of Emergency Planning and gives authorization to put all Executive Orders into effect in times of increased international tensions and economic or financial crisis.
  • Executive Order 11310 grants authority to the Department of Justice to enforce the plans set out in Executive Orders, to institute Industrial support, to establish judicial and legislative liaison, to control all aliens, to operate penal and correctional institutions, and to advise and assist the President.
  • Executive Order 11921 allows the Federal Emergency Preparedness Agency to develop plans to establish control over the mechanisms of production and distribution of energy sources, wages, salaries, credit, and the flow of money in U.S. financial institutions in any undefined national emergency. It also provides that when the president declares a state of emergency, Congress cannot review the action for six months.

Isn’t that nice? Even in times of financial crisis, which we’re sure are in no way related to the practices of the predatory banking cartel, the government will lovingly restrict your travel, take your possessions, and put you in a concentration camp. What a kind and benevolent government we have! It is so warm and fuzzy it almost makes you want to hurl, doesn’t it?

This is not a complete list.

Fear is the Goal

The point of this article is not to convince you to be afraid. In fact, fear is actually what the government wants. Machiavelli, in his essay “The Prince,” talked about this. Just as surely as gangsters attempt to rule by fear, so do fascists. One could even argue that the difference between a common gangster and a fascist is a matter of scope.

Only a madman doesn’t feel fear but, if you understand that it is fear which is the weapon being used against you, you will fight through that fear. You will not be ruled by fear but will rule yourself by virtue of reason and compassion.

You will stand up for your rights.

Author’s Agenda

This is article wasn’t written because the author particularly cares about you. It's not that he particularly doesn't care about you either but the author definitely cares about his children and any future grand-children he might have. The author knows that if you don’t stand up for your rights it will make it harder for him to stand up for his and those of his children. Furthermore, though the author knows that if you don’t stand up for yourself, it will be impossible for him to fight for your rights as he swore an oath to do so many years ago.
