Taking The Fiesta To Another Level

There's nothing more Filipino than the fiesta, a colourful celebration of Filipino culture and values. Del Monte takes the fiesta tradition to the next level as the Cannery and our Plantation camps celebrate successes not only of the company - but of the communities that have become the home of our farm and production facilities as well as of our employees and families, retirees and business partners.

Among this year's most colorful Pista rites were Plantation Day. Feb. 11, on the fiesta eve of Camp Phillips' Patron Saint Our Lady of Lourdes; Camp 14 Day, May 12 for Our Lady of Fatima; and Camp JMC Day and Cannery Day, May 15, for San Isidro Labrador and Sacred Heart of Jesus. The Plantation and Cannery LMCs, led by Operations Heads Andre Jaranilla (Plantation) and Frank Molas (Cannery), Mindanao HR Group Head Armin Narciso, Plantation HR Sr. Mgr. Mae Linaac, Cannery HR Mgr.lan Cruz and Union Presidents Roisven Galdo (Plantation ALU-302), Berlino Acierto (Plantation Monthly Salaried Union) and Rollen Rocha (Cannery Union) organized the events in coordination with employee associations.

Summer tosses hot challenge

The summer months take families at the Plantation, Cannery and Manila through an exciting agenda that challenges both body and mind.

Employees and their spouses and children don't only take time out to play; they learn more about ourselves as an organization and our values. This wide-range social program expresses the Company's deep concern for the welfare and well-being of its employee families. Camp Administrators welcome camp residents in Inter-Purok Games, Family and Children's Fairs, sports clinics and learning sessions (art, gardening, cooking). Teeners attend Summer Youth Camp and hone learnings on leadership, teamwork and volunteerism. Children of Cannery employees join the Cannery Summer Smiles program, now on its 3rd year, which offers sports clinics (basketball, tennis, swimming), sessions on music, arts, crafts, and eye-opening exposure trips (Del Monte facilities tours, eco-treks and community work).

Opening doors of friendship

Del Monte Teams bring the message of health and wellness and share our Core Values as we build ties with the community.
