DEVTOME.COM HOSTING COSTS HAVE BEGUN TO EXCEED 115$ MONTHLY. THE ADMINISTRATION IS NO LONGER ABLE TO HANDLE THE COST WITHOUT ASSISTANCE DUE TO THE RISING COST. THIS HAS BEEN OCCURRING FOR ALMOST A YEAR, BUT WE HAVE BEEN HANDLING IT FROM OUR OWN POCKETS. HOWEVER, WITH LITERALLY NO DONATIONS FOR THE PAST 2+ YEARS IT HAS DEPLETED THE BUDGET IN SHORT ORDER WITH THE INCREASE IN ACTIVITY ON THE SITE IN THE PAST 6 MONTHS. OUR CPU USAGE HAS BECOME TOO HIGH TO REMAIN ON A REASONABLE COSTING PLAN THAT WE COULD MAINTAIN. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SUPPORT THE DEVTOME PROJECT AND KEEP THE SITE UP/ALIVE PLEASE DONATE (EVEN IF ITS A SATOSHI) TO OUR DEVCOIN 1M4PCuMXvpWX6LHPkBEf3LJ2z1boZv4EQa OR OUR BTC WALLET 16eqEcqfw4zHUh2znvMcmRzGVwCn7CJLxR TO ALLOW US TO AFFORD THE HOSTING.

THE DEVCOIN AND DEVTOME PROJECTS ARE BOTH VERY IMPORTANT TO THE COMMUNITY. PLEASE CONTRIBUTE TO ITS FURTHER SUCCESS FOR ANOTHER 5 OR MORE YEARS!

Spain in the Exploration Era

A man named Prince Henry seized a village near India in 1415. The city called Ceuta contained pepper, cinnamon and other spices. He wanted to find the origins of these luxurious delicacies, so he established explorations, voyages and schools for them. The prince would support ships looking for trade routes to India, but never made any real progress. An explorer named Bartolommeo Dias went on a journey to find a route. The problem was that he didn’t expect the continent of Africa to extend so far south.

His journey eventually stopped at the tip of Africa in Cape Town. Another explorer finally completed Prince Henry’s wish though. His journey began in 1497, and touched India in 1499. While doing so, he filled his caravan with thousands of spices and rare silk. The caravan included a triangular sail for wind control, a compass for direction location and a though exterior strengthened it for disasters.

After finding a trade route, Portugal established ports in multiple locations. They quickly controlled spice trade and were the main dominance over it. Countries like Spain needed dominance to show their unraveled importance in the exploration era. The Netherlands controlled the global trade market however. Becoming very powerful in it, England hoped to get into the action. France didn’t start until later, never showing any profit though. While Portugal still remain the original explorers for spices and in technology.
