DEVTOME.COM HOSTING COSTS HAVE BEGUN TO EXCEED 115$ MONTHLY. THE ADMINISTRATION IS NO LONGER ABLE TO HANDLE THE COST WITHOUT ASSISTANCE DUE TO THE RISING COST. THIS HAS BEEN OCCURRING FOR ALMOST A YEAR, BUT WE HAVE BEEN HANDLING IT FROM OUR OWN POCKETS. HOWEVER, WITH LITERALLY NO DONATIONS FOR THE PAST 2+ YEARS IT HAS DEPLETED THE BUDGET IN SHORT ORDER WITH THE INCREASE IN ACTIVITY ON THE SITE IN THE PAST 6 MONTHS. OUR CPU USAGE HAS BECOME TOO HIGH TO REMAIN ON A REASONABLE COSTING PLAN THAT WE COULD MAINTAIN. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SUPPORT THE DEVTOME PROJECT AND KEEP THE SITE UP/ALIVE PLEASE DONATE (EVEN IF ITS A SATOSHI) TO OUR DEVCOIN 1M4PCuMXvpWX6LHPkBEf3LJ2z1boZv4EQa OR OUR BTC WALLET 16eqEcqfw4zHUh2znvMcmRzGVwCn7CJLxR TO ALLOW US TO AFFORD THE HOSTING.

THE DEVCOIN AND DEVTOME PROJECTS ARE BOTH VERY IMPORTANT TO THE COMMUNITY. PLEASE CONTRIBUTE TO ITS FURTHER SUCCESS FOR ANOTHER 5 OR MORE YEARS!

Social media analytics tools for Twitter

Social media analytics tools for Twitter are not as plentiful as you might think. At least not for free. Most of the are third-party, but at least Twitter has joined the game and is now offering access to your account analytics via their Twitter Ads interface. I will present to you below a selection of the best free Twitter analytics tools below.

Top 5 social media analytics for Twitter list

  • Twitter analytics
  • Hootsuite analytics
  • TweetReach
  • SocialBro
  • Buffer analytics

Twitter analytics

Twitter now has its own built-in analytics package. Simply log into Twitter Analytics with your Twitter account username and password. On the menu bar you will find two options to explore, Tweets and Followers. Tweets shows your Tweet activity in terms of mentions, follows and unfollows over the past 30 days in 6-hour increments. Followers tracks your progress over the past several months. Demographic data about your followers such as Interests, Location and Gender is provided.

Hootsuite analytics

As mentioned in another article I prefer Hootsuite to the Twitter app for iOS devices. Analytics are included that integrate Twitter, Facebook Insights and Google Analytics. The Twitter analytics are pretty basic, but the fact that you can integrate a number of social networks analytics in a single tool is attractive. You can track things like your followers, lists and mentions. You can also analyze keywords over time. Just click on the Analytics tab in the side menu bar and choose your report to generate. Just remember that you are limited to two reports in the free version. You need to upgrade to Hootsuite Pro for more.

TweetReach

TweetReach will show you the reach of a Tweet as its name suggests. Sign up for a free account and login. Before you can run a report you will need to authorize TweetReach to access your desired Twitter account. Type your Twitter username into the search box labeled “run a report.” You will get metrics on your account for the past 7 days. The report will include reach, exposure, activities, and contributors. If you want a full report it will cost you $20.

SocialBro

SocialBro has a free version that is browser-based and will allow you to track up to 5,000 social contacts (followers plus people you follow) across two Twitter profiles for free. Anything more than that and you have to pay. In addition to your own Twitter account, you can analyze 3rd party accounts, lists, and searches. You can track influencers, countries, languages, your Kred score, and PeerIndex.

Buffer analytics

Buffer app like Hootsuite, allows you to connect and control many of your accounts from the top social networks. Included are Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+ pages, and app.net accounts and you can even post to any or all at once. Sign up for a free account and log in. Connect your desired social accounts. If you select your Twitter account in the sidebar and click on the Analytics tab at the top, you can access your Twitter analytics here. For each tweet you send through Buffer, you get a number of metrics. You can track the number of retweets, favorites, mentions, clicks, and potential reach for each Tweet sent. Potential normally equals the number followers you have plus the number of followers each person who retweets you has.
