Paradise hidden in fantasy

Welcome to my paradise
Where hopes and dreams prevail
And the rain washes away the old

Where the rooms lay dormant
And the doors creek with morning dew
The hauntings of the memories flicker
While you sip your day old coffee

The shadows cloud your mirrors
And picture frames are empty
Chewing on the knowledge that speaks
Tasting the wisdom that listens

Dreams flutter by whispering fiendish possibilities
While fantasies consume the air with the fragrance of impossibility
Clouds fill the night as a star falls to the ground
Trees sway in the wind as one spreads its branches and flies away

And you are left standing in the midst of this fantasy
Left vulnerable to my paradise
Open to where hopes and dreams prevail
And the rain washes away the old

You question the difference between fantasy and reality
And are blinded by sanity
The world in which you are surrounded by
Is nothing more than mere illusions

But to judgment nothing is true
In the conscience all power lays
Ignorance is the words of our enemies
And sense is the wisdom of our friends

Regret is often found in silence
But silence is the most powerful method of speech
Discovery holds hands with curiosity
While imagination is realities worst fear

Intimacy is the hidden thoughts
While love are the spoken words
Humility is the tool of irony
While disgrace is mans best friend

All senses are numbed with the paradise that surrounds you
All thoughts are stopped with the mindless disbelief

And you are left standing in the midst of this fantasy
Left vulnerable to my paradise
Open to where hopes and dreams prevail
And the rain washes away the old
