DEVTOME.COM HOSTING COSTS HAVE BEGUN TO EXCEED 115$ MONTHLY. THE ADMINISTRATION IS NO LONGER ABLE TO HANDLE THE COST WITHOUT ASSISTANCE DUE TO THE RISING COST. THIS HAS BEEN OCCURRING FOR ALMOST A YEAR, BUT WE HAVE BEEN HANDLING IT FROM OUR OWN POCKETS. HOWEVER, WITH LITERALLY NO DONATIONS FOR THE PAST 2+ YEARS IT HAS DEPLETED THE BUDGET IN SHORT ORDER WITH THE INCREASE IN ACTIVITY ON THE SITE IN THE PAST 6 MONTHS. OUR CPU USAGE HAS BECOME TOO HIGH TO REMAIN ON A REASONABLE COSTING PLAN THAT WE COULD MAINTAIN. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SUPPORT THE DEVTOME PROJECT AND KEEP THE SITE UP/ALIVE PLEASE DONATE (EVEN IF ITS A SATOSHI) TO OUR DEVCOIN 1M4PCuMXvpWX6LHPkBEf3LJ2z1boZv4EQa OR OUR BTC WALLET 16eqEcqfw4zHUh2znvMcmRzGVwCn7CJLxR TO ALLOW US TO AFFORD THE HOSTING.

THE DEVCOIN AND DEVTOME PROJECTS ARE BOTH VERY IMPORTANT TO THE COMMUNITY. PLEASE CONTRIBUTE TO ITS FURTHER SUCCESS FOR ANOTHER 5 OR MORE YEARS!

One Big Solid Team

Once again, we have proven that we are indeed one big solid team. Our CEO Butch Campos, his wife Mrs. Ollie Campos, Group COO Cito Alejandro and his wife Cynthia, DMPL executive Richard Blossom, OPCOM members and labor union officers helped kick off the round of celebrations attended by our workers and families in full force across company locations in Mindanao and Manila.

At the get-together of Manila-based workers, teams came from the Fort in Taguig City (Executive offices, Sales, Marketing, HR, Finance, Export and Legal offices), Kalawaan in Pasig City (for Finance, Purchasing, Logistics teams), Las Pinas City (for R&D and QA) and from provincial sales offices in Luzon. Team Marketing led by Angie Flaminiano bagged the crown in the six-way contest on the corporate history presentation, with Team of HR, Logistics and Purchasing a close second. Customer Development supervisor Fritzie Tiu was also named “Del Monte Idol.”

At the Plantation, workers, their families, the Plantation Operations Team led by Group Head Andre Jaranilla, and the DMPI Operations Committee (OPCOM) led by GM and Group COO Cito Alejandro gathered for Tigum sa Pasko held simultaneously in all our housing camps. A special guest during the celebration was Janelle Campos, daughter and personal emissary of Del Monte Pacific Ltd. CEO Joselito Campos, Jr. who remained in Manila to attend to other corporate matters. As in the past two years, Mr. Campos donated personal funds for the grand prizes raffled off to workers.

On the same afternoon (up to midnight, actually), the Cannery's 2,000-strong workers and their families rocked to the music of a live band. But what really roused the crowd was Group COO Cito Alejandro, who took over the stage with OPCOM members, decommissioned the lead singer, and charmed the audience with livewire renditions of signature songs Buttercup, YMCA, Dancing Queen and Celebration. The Cannery family chanted to the fantastic beat of our newest singing sensation - Cito and his back-up singers Chief Finance Officer lggy Sison, Chief Compliance Officer Abu Dngson, Group Heads Angie Flaminiano (Marketing), Philip Macahilig (Sales), Jun Gatchalian (Purchasing), Cesar Canlas (MIS), Armin Narciso (Logistics), Bella Javier (Consumer Product and Packaging Development), Cloy Abejuela (Quality Assurance), Raul Leonen (Cannery) and David Escarda (HR) and Senior Manager Ramon Velez (Corp. Legal). Cito promises to be back with the OPCOM And “yes, we look forward to singing our new album next year!”

In behalf of our Marketing Team and Del Monte Foundation, I would like to thank everyone who participated in our “ONE DAY'S PAY” Program. We have collected cash donations worth 709 working days. These donations have been matched by our Company, giving us funds worth 278 working days. Several of our monthly and hourly employees in Mindanao have contributed a day of their salaries as well.

Your contributions enabled the Foundation to conduct feeding programs in Alubijid, Misamis Oriental to help malnourished children. The 377 children that we helped gained an average of 4 lbs. from our feeding sessions. School absenteeism dropped down from 30% to 4%.

Our work has just begun. More children need our help. Through us, they get a chance to build a brighter future.
