DEVTOME.COM HOSTING COSTS HAVE BEGUN TO EXCEED 115$ MONTHLY. THE ADMINISTRATION IS NO LONGER ABLE TO HANDLE THE COST WITHOUT ASSISTANCE DUE TO THE RISING COST. THIS HAS BEEN OCCURRING FOR ALMOST A YEAR, BUT WE HAVE BEEN HANDLING IT FROM OUR OWN POCKETS. HOWEVER, WITH LITERALLY NO DONATIONS FOR THE PAST 2+ YEARS IT HAS DEPLETED THE BUDGET IN SHORT ORDER WITH THE INCREASE IN ACTIVITY ON THE SITE IN THE PAST 6 MONTHS. OUR CPU USAGE HAS BECOME TOO HIGH TO REMAIN ON A REASONABLE COSTING PLAN THAT WE COULD MAINTAIN. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SUPPORT THE DEVTOME PROJECT AND KEEP THE SITE UP/ALIVE PLEASE DONATE (EVEN IF ITS A SATOSHI) TO OUR DEVCOIN 1M4PCuMXvpWX6LHPkBEf3LJ2z1boZv4EQa OR OUR BTC WALLET 16eqEcqfw4zHUh2znvMcmRzGVwCn7CJLxR TO ALLOW US TO AFFORD THE HOSTING.

THE DEVCOIN AND DEVTOME PROJECTS ARE BOTH VERY IMPORTANT TO THE COMMUNITY. PLEASE CONTRIBUTE TO ITS FURTHER SUCCESS FOR ANOTHER 5 OR MORE YEARS!

Ice Hockey (NES game)

Ice Hockey for the NES was released in 1988, and has been re-released on the Wii's virtual console. The Japanese version differs from the European and American version that there are different teams. The Japanese version has Japan (JPN), United States (USA), Czechoslovakia (TCH), Canada (CAN), Poland (POL), and the Soviet Union (URS). The European and American version have the same team except that Japan is switched with Sweden (SWE).

Gameplay

The gameplay is very simple. At the beginning you choose if you want to play alone or against a friend (you can't play with each other, only against each other), and then you select your team. After this you choose the game speed from 1 to 5. 1 being the slowest and 5 the fastest. The higher the game speed, the harder it is to block a puck and control the puck. Lastly you choose the game length. You can choose 7, 10, and 15 minutes. While these numbers are meant to represent minutes, the in-game counter counts down much faster than in real life.

After selecting all this you can choose your lineup. You play with 5 people, where 1 is a goaltender. You can select the other 4 players. There are three types of players: light, medium and heavy. The light player is very fast, but has the weakest shot strength, he is also very weak when he bounces on another player. He is the best at the face-off though. The medium player is average at everything, and the heavy player is the slowest and the worst at the face-off, but has the strongest shot strength and will never lose when checking in another player.

Now that you selected your team, you can play the game. It starts with a face-off, and you have to get the puck in the opponent's goal. If the opponent has the puck, you can check on him to get the puck. You can also block a shot by skating in front of it. When you score a goal, you get a point and there is another face-off. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins. So it's very similar to actual Ice Hockey.

Dinkleberg's experience

I enjoyed this game. It is a standard Ice Hockey game but it's fun to play against friends. If you pick a high speed, it gets really difficult to control and block shots. It's a shame you can't play in the same team as your friend, that would make the game even better. If they were to remake this game, they should definitely add that functionality, as well as more players in the game. Other than that, this game is great as it is!
