DEVTOME.COM HOSTING COSTS HAVE BEGUN TO EXCEED 115$ MONTHLY. THE ADMINISTRATION IS NO LONGER ABLE TO HANDLE THE COST WITHOUT ASSISTANCE DUE TO THE RISING COST. THIS HAS BEEN OCCURRING FOR ALMOST A YEAR, BUT WE HAVE BEEN HANDLING IT FROM OUR OWN POCKETS. HOWEVER, WITH LITERALLY NO DONATIONS FOR THE PAST 2+ YEARS IT HAS DEPLETED THE BUDGET IN SHORT ORDER WITH THE INCREASE IN ACTIVITY ON THE SITE IN THE PAST 6 MONTHS. OUR CPU USAGE HAS BECOME TOO HIGH TO REMAIN ON A REASONABLE COSTING PLAN THAT WE COULD MAINTAIN. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SUPPORT THE DEVTOME PROJECT AND KEEP THE SITE UP/ALIVE PLEASE DONATE (EVEN IF ITS A SATOSHI) TO OUR DEVCOIN 1M4PCuMXvpWX6LHPkBEf3LJ2z1boZv4EQa OR OUR BTC WALLET 16eqEcqfw4zHUh2znvMcmRzGVwCn7CJLxR TO ALLOW US TO AFFORD THE HOSTING.

THE DEVCOIN AND DEVTOME PROJECTS ARE BOTH VERY IMPORTANT TO THE COMMUNITY. PLEASE CONTRIBUTE TO ITS FURTHER SUCCESS FOR ANOTHER 5 OR MORE YEARS!

Go For Greater Heights – Part 1

DMPL Group COO Luis Alejandro, who leads the company's drive to full recovery, seeks the support of every employee, business partner and other stakeholders in building the business. Echoing the Company's strategic move for global competitiveness, COO Luis Alejandro, in his State of the Business Address at the start of the year, said: “The Return has begun. Your attitude of excellence, deep sense of commitment to our goals and aspirations to be the best in all the things we do, defines our behavior today and in the years to come.”

Today, we aim to go farther and soar higher. Armed with new performance metrics and a strong resolve to return to where we had once been, COO Alejandro shares key pointers for our journey to Recovery.

To win in a fiercely competitive global industry, we must improve our own cost competitiveness. Every worker is accountable for every resource within his command. He's the captain who must bring his ship to its destination. As we sail on our final journey to Recovery, we must be ready for every challenge.

We must continue to grow ourselves. Let's look closely at our processes and systems, so we can innovate, fine tune, update and promptly respond to business requirements and trends.

Where the future shines brightest for us and our business are in key segments - where we can make a spectacular turn-around (new products), expand coverage (Philippine core businesses) or accelerate growth (Processed Exports, Fresh Fruit and S&W). We see many more challenges as we integrate our supply chain and deliver quality products and services to customers worldwide. Because what we do today and everyday creates success not only for our team but equally important, for thousands of other families whose lives depend on our success.

Farm Landscape, Redesigned

A fresh look at our farm process gives us the opportunity to redefine perspective and redirect efforts for higher yield in each crop cycle.

The Plantation Operations team kicked off a Yield Analytics Project code-named Project TIMBANG with a global leader in the emerging field of business analytics - SAS Phils.lnc. - to help us make “high yield” a reality.

Project TIMBANG combines science-based farm practices with high-end predictive technologies to increase MTH (metric tons per hectare) and deliver high-quality fruit at competitive cost by aligning farm activities with manufacturing and market requirements.

Mindanao Operations Group Head Emmanuel Nisperos joined hands with Plantation Operations Group Head Andre Jaranilla and Project leaders New Business Development Sr. Mgr. Benjamin Mabanta, IT Group Head Cesar Canlas and SAS Phils. Country Operations Director Maxie Garin, and the Plantation Team in launching this milestone project.

The Project takes it name from the winning entry submitted by Plantation HR Sr. Mgr. Linaac during a pre-launch contest. It stands for Teamwork, Information, “Make it happen!” - with a big BANG! Information Technology Mgr. Jinggoy Ebuna explains that TIMBANG, a Visayan word for “to measure” and to “collaborate and work together”, captures the essence of the project: to get data to attain high yield and, to work together, which is essential to the project's success. Under this project, SAS and in-house MIS-IT will walk our farm teams through high-level solutions from a wide range of options. A long drive through this new landscape makes for an exciting journey for everyone on our Team!

The Journey Has Begun

Never leave until a job is done. “With our SFLEX projects last year, improved machine efficiency raised Cannery's process rate. Our innovations also raised the morale of our mechanics as troubleshooting workload lessened - streamlined processes, reduced waste, worker and product safety. There's a limited window of time for us, especially during high tonnage. Last year, we spent Christmas Day at the Cannery, up through the next day, to overhaul machines so canning crews can get back to work on Dec. 27. We never leave until a job is done. There's still a lot of room for improvement. And I don't see any reason why we cannot do more this year.” Bong Jamero, Supervisor, Cannery Maintenance
