DEVTOME.COM HOSTING COSTS HAVE BEGUN TO EXCEED 115$ MONTHLY. THE ADMINISTRATION IS NO LONGER ABLE TO HANDLE THE COST WITHOUT ASSISTANCE DUE TO THE RISING COST. THIS HAS BEEN OCCURRING FOR ALMOST A YEAR, BUT WE HAVE BEEN HANDLING IT FROM OUR OWN POCKETS. HOWEVER, WITH LITERALLY NO DONATIONS FOR THE PAST 2+ YEARS IT HAS DEPLETED THE BUDGET IN SHORT ORDER WITH THE INCREASE IN ACTIVITY ON THE SITE IN THE PAST 6 MONTHS. OUR CPU USAGE HAS BECOME TOO HIGH TO REMAIN ON A REASONABLE COSTING PLAN THAT WE COULD MAINTAIN. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SUPPORT THE DEVTOME PROJECT AND KEEP THE SITE UP/ALIVE PLEASE DONATE (EVEN IF ITS A SATOSHI) TO OUR DEVCOIN 1M4PCuMXvpWX6LHPkBEf3LJ2z1boZv4EQa OR OUR BTC WALLET 16eqEcqfw4zHUh2znvMcmRzGVwCn7CJLxR TO ALLOW US TO AFFORD THE HOSTING.

THE DEVCOIN AND DEVTOME PROJECTS ARE BOTH VERY IMPORTANT TO THE COMMUNITY. PLEASE CONTRIBUTE TO ITS FURTHER SUCCESS FOR ANOTHER 5 OR MORE YEARS!

Go And Bear Much Fruit That Will Remain – Part 2

The community's global growth

CFC's phenomenal growth can be traced to 1989 when God's message of rapid, massive and global evangelization took root.

Then in 1993 the community established the Family Ministries making CFC a “womb-to- tomb” renewal ministry. In response to God's call CFC is truly building the Church of the Home.

In terms of numbers, CFC's massive evangelization efforts worldwide have yielded the following:

350,491 couples from the original 16 in 1981 / 138,563 Singles for Christ members from 212 graduates of the first SFC CLP / 216,640 Youth for Christ from 697 members / 90,316 Handmaids of the Lord from 135 members

7,686 Servants of the Lord from 12 members Of the total CFC population worldwide of 1,154,201, more than 95% come from the Philippines. About 30.1% of this figure are couples while 18% are Youth for Christ members. Metro Manila accounts for about 11.5% of total CFC population in the Philippines.

The growth and numbers may be overwhelming. What makes it even more awesome is that these do not just represent numbers but souls who have yielded to God's message of love.

The Social Ministries

It was also in the late 1990's that it became clear that God was calling CFC to build not just the Church of the Home but also the Church of the Poor. It became apparent that our work was not simply spiritual but geared toward total human liberation. CFC therefore established its Social Ministries:

FLAME Ministries, Inc.: the social communications arm of CFC

CFC Educational Foundation, Inc.: the implementing arm of CFC in the area of children's education

CFC Angkop Foundation, Inc.: to bring about sustainable community development in depressed areas

CFC Medical Mission Foundation, Inc. : to serve medical needs especially of the poorer sectors of society.

The Sword of Gideon: the armed services ministry

Isaiah 61:1 : the prison ministry

FEED Ministry : to work for Family Enrichment and Education

TEODORA: In Defense of the Authentic Woman, Inc. : to work for the empowerment of women

St. Thomas More and Associates: to bring about socio-political renewal

Jacob's Well: to minister to couples in irregular unions

The Tekton Guild : to bring about socio-economic renewal

All of these social ministries have a specific function to perform which, taken together, encompass every social dimension of human life. It can be said the CFC is involved, in holistic fashion, in every aspect of man's earthly and spiritual life.

CFC in Other Christian Churches

Though a Catholic organization whose basic task is the work of re-evangelization within the Catholic Church, CFC has kept its doors opened wide even for non-Catholic Christians. This proved to be a blessing for those in mixed marriages, and a contribution to the cause of Christian unity.

In the Philippines, CFC is open to every Christian denomination without sacrificing its basic function of being parish-based. In other countries, CFC is present in the following:

Anglican Church in London, England and Tripoli, Libya

Lutheran Church in Toronto, Canada

Coptic Church in lsmailia, Egypt

Chaldean Church in Baghdad, Iraq

All for One

CFC established three Special Ministries in order to ensure that its work of evangelization is in harmony with and interdependent on the work of the three sectors of the Church: clergy, religious and laity.

In 1999, CFC, together with Msgr. Art Baluma, founded the Society of the Holy Family (SHF), a new order of clerics and a charismatic missionary order of priests. SHF has Bishop Jesus Varela as Protector and Bishop Camilo Gregorio as co-Protector. To date, SHF has 47 priests and Seminarians.

The Priests for Family and Life and Nuns for Christ were also established as support groups for clerics and religious sisters intimately involved in the life and mission of CFC.

The World for Christ

A pastoral-organizational network and structure connects CFC communities throughout the world with the CFC Council based in Manila. CFC's global evangelization work has yielded much fruit.

A cursory look at the countries where CFC has a presence shows just how awesome God's power is. Many of these countries were even considered impenetrable as far as bringing the word of God was concerned.

CFC has indeed made major inroads in its mission of global evangelization. From 1986 when CFC was introduced in India, up to the present, CFC has made its presence known in many countries. In reality, however, the figures show a much more awesome picture.

Since it was only in the mid-90's that CFC realized its global mission , the work of winning the world for Christ began in earnest only in 1995. From 1995 to the present, CFC has “invaded” many more countries.

CFC has proven its readiness to rise to the challenge to “go and bear much fruit that will remain”. Many more countries remain untapped but not for long because the task CFC has set is to be present in every country in the world.
