They are known for their bath houses, arenas, roadways, temples, and public forums.
The Romans developed cement, the treadmill hoist, pile driver (driven into the ground for better support a lot more friction), and wooden bucket wheel.
The Middle Ages
The Middle Ages is the time after the fall of the Roman Empire.
Engineering development were slow during his time.
The Chinese invented gun powder, paper-making, iron casting, and textiles.
Engineering Pioniers
Johann Gutenberg (1398-1468) invented movable type and the first printed book.
Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519) illustrated how machines work.
da Vinci inventions: musical instruments, hydraulic pumps, reversible crank mechanisms, finned mortar shells, and a steam cannon. He also had good drawings that were very detailed.
