DEVTOME.COM HOSTING COSTS HAVE BEGUN TO EXCEED 115$ MONTHLY. THE ADMINISTRATION IS NO LONGER ABLE TO HANDLE THE COST WITHOUT ASSISTANCE DUE TO THE RISING COST. THIS HAS BEEN OCCURRING FOR ALMOST A YEAR, BUT WE HAVE BEEN HANDLING IT FROM OUR OWN POCKETS. HOWEVER, WITH LITERALLY NO DONATIONS FOR THE PAST 2+ YEARS IT HAS DEPLETED THE BUDGET IN SHORT ORDER WITH THE INCREASE IN ACTIVITY ON THE SITE IN THE PAST 6 MONTHS. OUR CPU USAGE HAS BECOME TOO HIGH TO REMAIN ON A REASONABLE COSTING PLAN THAT WE COULD MAINTAIN. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SUPPORT THE DEVTOME PROJECT AND KEEP THE SITE UP/ALIVE PLEASE DONATE (EVEN IF ITS A SATOSHI) TO OUR DEVCOIN 1M4PCuMXvpWX6LHPkBEf3LJ2z1boZv4EQa OR OUR BTC WALLET 16eqEcqfw4zHUh2znvMcmRzGVwCn7CJLxR TO ALLOW US TO AFFORD THE HOSTING.

THE DEVCOIN AND DEVTOME PROJECTS ARE BOTH VERY IMPORTANT TO THE COMMUNITY. PLEASE CONTRIBUTE TO ITS FURTHER SUCCESS FOR ANOTHER 5 OR MORE YEARS!

Edenic Law

“Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it” (Exodus 20:8-11 ).

Does this passage sound Edenic? Yes, indeed. It invites us to look back to Eden where God first established the twin institutions – marriage and Sabbath. Unfortunately Satan has tried hard to destroy these two institutions. To many people today, marriage is no longer an honorable relationship and Sabbath has ceased to be a welcome day of spiritual rest. Through God's grace, it's not yet too late to regain these Edenic experiences. God is still giving us a second chance. And I beg that we grasp it - now.

There are some things of which this Edenic law - the Sabbath - reminds us.

We're reminded that the seventh-day Sabbath is a holy day

It's not therefore an ordinary day. It's the day that God rested on, blessed and sanctified.

Everyone who'd consider this day holy is assured of heavenly blessings. God's prophet said, “If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure in my holy day; and call the Sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words: then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord, and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it” (Isaiah 58:13, 14).

One thing that we should not misunderstand with this institution is this: it's the “seventh-day,” which means that we cannot replace it with any other day. Replacing it with another day is missing God's special blessing for us on that day. Please note, also, that it's a full day. A 24-hour day. A sunset-to-sunset day. It's either that we keep the whole day or not at all.

This Edenic law reminds us of the dignity of labor

Its dignity, however, is recognized only when it's toward honoring the institution of the Sabbath. On a weekly basis, we are to use the first six days of the week in working and preparing for the coming holy day. Keeping the Sabbath holy would mean that we should aspire for it, desire it, and make all necessary preparation to sanctify it.

Talking about the preparation, may I submit that this includes physical, material and most of all spiritual readiness. On this rest day, everyone should endeavor to be at rest with God and man.

Let's also remember that this Edenic law encourages every believer to work during the first six days of the week to keep one from doing secular pursuits on the Sabbath. God set this day apart, blessing and sanctifying it, because it's a special day. On it He has a special fellowship with His people.

This Edenic law is for the welfare of the family unit

Indeed, the Sabbath is a twin institution of marriage. Consider who this law mentions should observe the sacred day.

“Thou, [referring to the father and mother], nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates.” Does this not pretty well enumerate the members of the family? Indeed, it does.

Oh, that we would know and experience the rich spiritual blessing and restoration that the Sabbath can bring to every family. Certainly it's an institution that can make your homes a little heaven on earth.
