Easy vegetarian recipes - Black bean vegetarian wraps

Preparation time: 15 minutes

Serves 4




1 can of black beans


2 Avocados

2 medium Tomatoes

1 bunch Green onion

1 head of Lettuce


4 Tortillas


1 cup Monterrey jack cheese (grated)

1 jar Salsa



Wash and dry lettuce. tear lettuce into small pieces and put aside. Slice avacados. Quarter tomatoes. Chop up green onions


Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit. Put tortilla on a baking sheet.


Grate cheese if needed and put aside for serving time.


Heat up black beans in a medium sauce pan. Bring to a boil, then simmer on low until thickened.


Time putting the tortilla in the oven when beans are simmering on low. Warm up tortillas in oven for 5 minutes.


Build each wrap on a plate. First place a warm tortilla on the plate. Add 1/2 cup of black beans and top with cheese if desired. add some salsa. Add lettuce, green onions, avocado, and tomatoes. Wrap up tortilla and top with more salsa

Wine or beer pairing

Pair with a grenache or Corona and lime.
