DEVTOME.COM HOSTING COSTS HAVE BEGUN TO EXCEED 115$ MONTHLY. THE ADMINISTRATION IS NO LONGER ABLE TO HANDLE THE COST WITHOUT ASSISTANCE DUE TO THE RISING COST. THIS HAS BEEN OCCURRING FOR ALMOST A YEAR, BUT WE HAVE BEEN HANDLING IT FROM OUR OWN POCKETS. HOWEVER, WITH LITERALLY NO DONATIONS FOR THE PAST 2+ YEARS IT HAS DEPLETED THE BUDGET IN SHORT ORDER WITH THE INCREASE IN ACTIVITY ON THE SITE IN THE PAST 6 MONTHS. OUR CPU USAGE HAS BECOME TOO HIGH TO REMAIN ON A REASONABLE COSTING PLAN THAT WE COULD MAINTAIN. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SUPPORT THE DEVTOME PROJECT AND KEEP THE SITE UP/ALIVE PLEASE DONATE (EVEN IF ITS A SATOSHI) TO OUR DEVCOIN 1M4PCuMXvpWX6LHPkBEf3LJ2z1boZv4EQa OR OUR BTC WALLET 16eqEcqfw4zHUh2znvMcmRzGVwCn7CJLxR TO ALLOW US TO AFFORD THE HOSTING.

THE DEVCOIN AND DEVTOME PROJECTS ARE BOTH VERY IMPORTANT TO THE COMMUNITY. PLEASE CONTRIBUTE TO ITS FURTHER SUCCESS FOR ANOTHER 5 OR MORE YEARS!

Cloak Coin POSA Lets Users Earn Anonymizing Fees

The privacy oriented digital currency 'Cloak Coin' launched version 1 of its 'PoSA' system this week. So called 'Proof of Stake Anonymity' means that in addition to standard Proof of Stake revenue, users who download the standard Cloak Coin wallet can also allow their computer to be used to enable anonymous transactions for other users – and earn extra coins from the higher transaction fee charged for anonymous transactions. No special software is required to become an anonymizing node other than the standard wallet, and regular PoS earnings are still accumulated at the same rate as before.

Version one of the Proof of Stake Anonymity system is missing a planned feature called 'blockescrow' and will remain closed source for security reasons. In its current form the system allows for so-called 'bad actors' who may be able to interrupt transactions, although the developers are confident that nobody will be able to take advantage of this security hole to steal coins without being able to access the source code as this is not an open source feature. Version two will introduce new features and remove any possibility of trouble from these bad actors.

PoSA is turned on as standard in the latest wallet release, which is version 1.9.7.33. In the bottom right of the wallet you will see how many other anonymous users you are connected to, and how many times your wallet has been used as part of the process of anonymizing a transaction – each time this happens it is listed as one 'evolution' (see picture below).

You can find out how much you have earned in total from all of your 'evolutions' by opening the debug window and typing 'listaccounts'; this will show you a balance for each address associated with your wallet, and an additional balance for '_posa', which is the total amount you have earned from providing financial privacy to other users. You can also see the break down of each evolution and how much you earned for it by enabling coin control from the options menu, and then visiting the send tab and clicking the 'inputs' button.

Other Cloak Coin Features

Cloak Coin already offers a 'cloak trade' feature which allows users to trade on the Bittrex exchange from their wallet using API keys. A decentralized marketplace called 'One Market' is also in the works, which will be integrated into the wallet. In addition to this, a system for reducing block chain bloat and improving transaction times called 'OneLedger' is under development.
