DEVTOME.COM HOSTING COSTS HAVE BEGUN TO EXCEED 115$ MONTHLY. THE ADMINISTRATION IS NO LONGER ABLE TO HANDLE THE COST WITHOUT ASSISTANCE DUE TO THE RISING COST. THIS HAS BEEN OCCURRING FOR ALMOST A YEAR, BUT WE HAVE BEEN HANDLING IT FROM OUR OWN POCKETS. HOWEVER, WITH LITERALLY NO DONATIONS FOR THE PAST 2+ YEARS IT HAS DEPLETED THE BUDGET IN SHORT ORDER WITH THE INCREASE IN ACTIVITY ON THE SITE IN THE PAST 6 MONTHS. OUR CPU USAGE HAS BECOME TOO HIGH TO REMAIN ON A REASONABLE COSTING PLAN THAT WE COULD MAINTAIN. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SUPPORT THE DEVTOME PROJECT AND KEEP THE SITE UP/ALIVE PLEASE DONATE (EVEN IF ITS A SATOSHI) TO OUR DEVCOIN 1M4PCuMXvpWX6LHPkBEf3LJ2z1boZv4EQa OR OUR BTC WALLET 16eqEcqfw4zHUh2znvMcmRzGVwCn7CJLxR TO ALLOW US TO AFFORD THE HOSTING.

THE DEVCOIN AND DEVTOME PROJECTS ARE BOTH VERY IMPORTANT TO THE COMMUNITY. PLEASE CONTRIBUTE TO ITS FURTHER SUCCESS FOR ANOTHER 5 OR MORE YEARS!

Christian Evangelization Gone Global - Part 2

CFC in Canada

In the past years, Canada has become a major mission center in evangelizing the world. Right now Canada is handling four countries - Ghana, Nigeria, Bermuda and Venezuela. These are all exotic places and it's really exciting that we can bring the word of God to these different places. How were we able to do it?

First of all we in Canada are fully convinced and believe 100% in our anointing and in our calling and that is to do rapid, massive and global evangelization. We believe that it is not only the brethren in the Philippines who are called to do this mission work. We believe those of us outside the Philippines need to share God's blessings to many other countries outside of Canada.

Secondly, the key is to be open to the leading of the Holy Spirit and to be obedient to the Lord as He brings us a lot of opportunities. We have resolved to seize every opportunity that is available to do mission work outside of Canada. We have faith in the Lord knowing that this is His work. He will sustain this work and He will enable us to do mission work wherever He leads us. The work is hard but the benefits are plentiful: first, there is the joy and excitement of going abroad and seeing beautiful places; second, there is the rapid flowering of the missionary spirit among the members of the community. In 1997, when Irma and I first arrived in Canada, I was the only full time missionary worker in the country. Today there are nine full time missionary workers in Canada.

Another benefit of doing missionary work is the rapid increase in tithing countrywide. We could never have sent people to these four countries, spending the equivalent, of millions of pesos in air fare, or paid the allowances and salaries of nine full time workers if the brethren in Canada had not fully supported our efforts with their tithes. Once the brethren began to understand the enormity of the work and its financial demands, they became more generous in offering the fruits of their labor for the Lord's work.

It seems that the Lord wants to develop Canada as a regional mission base. It is strategically located. Just across the Atlantic there's Europe, Middle East and Africa. Across the Pacific there is Asia. Below it are the Americas. Like the US passport, the Canadian passport is accepted in many countries without the need of applying for a visa. God has shown us that there are many things that can be done in and through CFC in Canada that cannot be done elsewhere. When people from Manila were having difficulty getting visas for Africa, it was CFC from Canada who went. By Ricky & Frank

Latin America

In the sixteen Spanish-speaking countries of Latin America, Couples for Christ goes by the name “Matrimonies Para Cristo”. These countries are: Mexico, Argentina, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Uruguay, Peru, Paraguay, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Panama, Nicaragua, El Salvador and Honduras. It is called “Casais Para Cristo” in the lone Portuguese-speaking country of Brazil. The countries of Belize, Guyana and Suriname speak English while the official language of French Guyana is, of course, French.

Of these 20 countries, 13 have already been “invaded” by CFC, the latest being Panama, Uruguay and Colombia. Only 3 more Spanish-speaking countries, namely: Nicaragua, El Salvador and Honduras, 3 English-speaking countries - Belize, Guyana and Suriname and one French-speaking country - French Guyana - remain unreached by CFC.
