at

Hayek's Linux Manual

at executes commands at a specific time

Description

at will execute a command or a script later. You can set the time many different ways and have the result mailed to you afterwards.

Useful Flags

 -m hh:mm
       Set the time to execute the command
 -f script_to_execute
       Set at to execute a script instead of a command

Examples

 [hayek@localhost ~]$ at -m 00:49
 at> echo "test" > file.test
 at> 
 job 4 at Thu Dec 19 00:49:00 2013
 [hayek@localhost ~]$ cat file.test 
 test
