Ashe ADC Guide

This is a guide for a character in League of Legends.

Ashe is a bottom lane champion who specializes in kiting the enemy team. She is strong in lane and typically a very safe bottom lane pick.

Pros

  • Ashe can carry games very well if she gets kills.
  • Her ult is in my opinion the best initiation tool in the entire game.
  • Her basic attacks when her slow is on are like having a frozen mallet for free.
  • She is the ADC that provides the most CC for her team, so the best team player out of the ADCs.

Cons

  • She is easily killed if out of position.
  • Except her Ult which is high cool-down she has no escapes.
  • She lacks burst damage.
  • She can be dominated early game by some champions which can set you really far behind.

Summoner spells

  • Barrier: This allows you extra security in your lane duels and also helps you to not die as often because assassins have a harder time killing you.
  • Flash: Flash is good on most everyone. It allows you to hop walls and also much needed mobility in fights and escapes.

Masteries

Very basic masteries for any physical damage champion. You take all the damage you can and then get some extra health and armor so you are a bit harder to kill.

Build

As starting items: Doran's blade +1 Hp pot and trinket. Ashe is built as a glass-cannon damage dealer. Items like infinity edge, phantom dancer, static shiv, and bloodthirster are good damage items for her. For defense you can take a GA if it gets to really late game, otherwise you don't want any defensive items. Ashe is a great champion mainly because she can initiate teams fights for her team, provide massive damage, and also kite enemies like no other champion. She is hard to kill in fights if she stays properly positioned and necessary to stop in fights due to her massive damage output. Usually for boots I take attack speed, but sometimes merc treads or other boots can make sense. Always choose items to counter their team comp when it makes sense. Aside from that just make sure your team wards so you can take full advantage of her ability to initiate when enemies step out of position.

Runes

These runes on Ashe are very strong. This set of runes gives you tons of armor pen and armor as well as some damage and late game magic resist.

General strategy

Ashe is a great champion all through the game. Ashe has a slower early game then a lot of ADCs but she is extremely viable at every level after 6 + her early game is not bad enough to set her far behind. Basically what you want to do with Ashe is wait for an opportunity to Ult in, stun your opponent, W them, auto attack, and then chase them down and kill them. If you have a good support that can back you up with either damage or another crowd control ability this becomes very easy to do. Just keep the river warded and watch out for their jungle. If their jungle comes bottom he can really mess up your plans. The goal is to deal as much damage as you can at all points of the team-fight without dying, but also to force engages when the enemy teams carries are in bad positioning where they either can't deal damage or will die right away. As a glass-cannon DPS you as Ashe are expected to initiate the fights and then deal mad damage. Make sure you initiate them properly or you will probably lose. Stress the importance of wards and always be in position behind your team. Never get near an enemy assassin or you will end up dying and losing the next team-fight as a result. Positioning is huge on Ashe!
