DEVTOME.COM HOSTING COSTS HAVE BEGUN TO EXCEED 115$ MONTHLY. THE ADMINISTRATION IS NO LONGER ABLE TO HANDLE THE COST WITHOUT ASSISTANCE DUE TO THE RISING COST. THIS HAS BEEN OCCURRING FOR ALMOST A YEAR, BUT WE HAVE BEEN HANDLING IT FROM OUR OWN POCKETS. HOWEVER, WITH LITERALLY NO DONATIONS FOR THE PAST 2+ YEARS IT HAS DEPLETED THE BUDGET IN SHORT ORDER WITH THE INCREASE IN ACTIVITY ON THE SITE IN THE PAST 6 MONTHS. OUR CPU USAGE HAS BECOME TOO HIGH TO REMAIN ON A REASONABLE COSTING PLAN THAT WE COULD MAINTAIN. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SUPPORT THE DEVTOME PROJECT AND KEEP THE SITE UP/ALIVE PLEASE DONATE (EVEN IF ITS A SATOSHI) TO OUR DEVCOIN 1M4PCuMXvpWX6LHPkBEf3LJ2z1boZv4EQa OR OUR BTC WALLET 16eqEcqfw4zHUh2znvMcmRzGVwCn7CJLxR TO ALLOW US TO AFFORD THE HOSTING.

THE DEVCOIN AND DEVTOME PROJECTS ARE BOTH VERY IMPORTANT TO THE COMMUNITY. PLEASE CONTRIBUTE TO ITS FURTHER SUCCESS FOR ANOTHER 5 OR MORE YEARS!

Alexander Solzhenitsyn's Harvad Address (1978)

This is a step by step commentary on the Harvard Address spoken by Alexander Solzhenitsyn in 1978, If you would like to read the address email me at blackfoxdevcoin@gmail.com

A World Split Apart

This speech was spoken during the Cold War so the very first paragraph addresses the division in the world between the U.S. and the Soviet Union. He speaks a little bit about how we too hastily glance at this division but only think on it as some political thing, something that can be solved through diplomatic relations or a balance of armed forces. He hints that the Division may go deeper than what we see at a first glance. He also touches on the ancient biblical proverb taught by Jesus that a house divided against itself cannot stand.

Contemporary Worlds

Solzhenitsyn shows us how although we tend to think of the world as divided between first world, second world, and third world, the number is truly much greater. We, as Americans, tend to overlook the multitude of diverse cultures throughout the world. The Ancient traditions that have been passed down from generation to generation. Solzhenitsyn speaks about this category, “As a minimum, we must include in this category China, India, the Muslim world and Africa, if indeed we accept the approximation of viewing the latter two as compact units.” Solzhenitsyn speaks on how we as Westerners tend to ignore the cultures of other nations and thus fail to understand them. He also talks briefly about the colonization of Europeans. How the Westerners think of themselves as superior to all other people and think they are doing other countries a great service by colonizing and Westernizing them when in reality that's not what those people want at all.
