-=2014-2015 NBA Hoops Basketball Cards Review=

-The 2014-2015 NBA Season will soon begin. With the new season comes the beginning of the careers of the most hyped rookie class since the 2003 class that featured LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony.   This class features several players with star potential.  One of the highlights of the new season is the release of Basketball cards.  This year the basketball card sets are centered around the rookie cards of the 2014 NBA rookie class.  The first set of cards released this year is called NBA Hoops.  These cards are produced by Panini America, which is one of the major card manufacturers.  Each box promises two autograph cards, one memorabilia card and 72 Inserts & Parallel cards.  Having the urge to be among the first to get official rookie cards of the 2014 NBA rookie class, I decided to purchase a box.  I drove down to my local hobby store and found that they had boxes of NBA Hoops cards in stock.  I purchased a box and drove home to open my cards.  The cards came in a black and red box sealed in plastic with the Panini logo on it.  The box contained 24 packs and 12 cards in each pack for a total of 288 cards.  I proceeded to open the box and then the 24 packs of cards.  This entire process took me forty-six minutes.  I enjoyed the entire experience.  Below are the highlights of my box opening experience;
-
-I received a bunch of parallel cards.  I’ll list my favorite cards below
-
-*The Red back cards included; Kyle Anderson, Shabazz Napier, Nick Johnson and Spencer Dinwiddie
-
-*The Green cards included; Jerami Grant, Jarnell Stokes, Nick Johnson and Marcus Smart
-
-*The Silver cards included; Noah Vonleh, Dirk Nowitzki, Chandler Parsons, Pau Gasol
-
-*The Gold cards included; Johnny O'Bryant, Glenn Robinson III, Doug McDermott and James Young

-For me one of the highlights is getting the actual rookie cards. I received 24 rookie cards in the box, which included most of the top rookie cards in the set.  These cards include; Andrew Wiggins, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon, Marcus Smart and Noah Vonleh.

-I received one memorabilia card and it was a Steve Nash Jersey card.  I was also promised two autograph cards. The first card I found was a Terry Porter autograph card.  My next find was a Zach LaVine autograph rookie card.  LaVine was drafted by the Timberwolves and I feel that he has a bright future ahead of him.

-Overall I was impressed with my first basketball card purchase of the new season.  The box was reasonably priced and I believe I got some good cards.  I’m not sure if I’ll purchase another box, but I do recommend to those collectors who want to get an early jump on the 2014 NBA rookie class to give NBA Hoops Basketball cards a try.
